As
G2's hardware platforms are very versatile, we have been able
to produce cost-effective specialist video processing products
for clients for use in military, security and information
overlay applications. The equipment below is just a few examples
of the wide range of projects we have completed.
Illusion
A completely updated version of an old G2 design, the Illusion
chroma keyer uses digital techniques to generate a stable,
accurate key. Illusion supports analogue and SDI digital formats
and has internal TBCs, so that background and foreground sources
do not need to be synchronized. Controls for edge-softness,
key colour and offset ensure accurate results. An on-screen
set up menu and dual outputs are provided.
SID
This product was derived from Image Engine to provide an SDI
source generator with text ident for a major broadcaster.
The organization decided that all material including sound-only
would be processed as SDI with embedded audio. SID provides
multiple SDI sources that can be used to identify the sound-only
signals throughout the system. Each card provides three SDI
outputs, each with its own text ident. The ident background
on each output can be selected as black, EBU bars, full screen
internally stored graphic or reference input video. SID is
normally locked to a reference input, which can be specified
as CVBS or SDI. Two cards can be fitted to a single 1U/19"
rack.
